Struggling a little to be happy today as I try to reconcile with my web host that the email I sent Thursday to my limited, opt-in, mailing list is not spam, and they need to turn that email account back on.

Since it’s the primary account for this blog and most of my book dealings, this is beyond frustrating, but I think we’re getting there.  If you comment on this post, please be patient if it takes some time to appear.  I will not be getting the notices of comments until this is all resolved.  And yes, I’m staying nice about the whole thing.  Right up until my business goes elsewhere.

With that in mind, I searched for a quote apropos of this situation and here it is:

I’ve grown to realize the joy that comes from little victories is preferable to the fun that comes from ease and the pursuit of pleasure. — Lawana Blackwell

So, awaiting the joy I will get from the little victory in this case, and telling myself that would be preferable to the fun I’d otherwise be having on this beautiful Saturday that should have been filled with ease and the pursuit of pleasure.

Will keep you posted…

  1. If I understand the quote, I completely agree. Better to experience the joy an effort brings you than the joy that is handed to you.

  2. Agree. But now that my email is working again, all I’m experiencing is relief. Although I think I am soon to experience the joy a margarita brings me.
